The year's farthest quarter moon - yet the year's closest lunar apogee - both fall on July 12, 2020. Coincidence?

After more than a year in a clay-rich region, Curiosity is making a mile-long journey around some deep sand so that it can explore higher up Mount Sharp.

There's a nice binocular comet - Comet NEOWISE - in the early morning sky now. Some experienced observers are catching it with the eye alone. It's nice ... but not great. When will we see our next great comet?
