Peter Lowenstein, a frequent EarthSky contributor in Mutare, Zimbabwe wrote of this past weekend’s full moon:
As dawn was breaking this morning, the supermoon set over Murahwa Mountain near Mutare. A time-lapse of 54 photographs was taken using a tripod mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ-60 camera, and these were used to compile the accompanying thumbnail mosaic.
It also shows how much the sky brightened in just three minutes it took for the moon to disappear.
Thank you, Peter!
This moon was the Northern Hemisphere’s Hunter’s Moon. See more photos here.
