Matt Skinner of Lights Out Photography got this great shot just after midnight on February 16, 2016 in Knit River, Alaska. Matt said:

We headed out hoping for a good show. The aurora showed itself a little, but never really went crazy until after we had left. This was probably my favorite capture of the evening.

Thanks Matt!

What causes the aurora borealis or northern lights?

What makes a halo around the moon?
