We saw many wonderful photos of the moon and planet Venus over the past several nights, as the waxing moon moved up past Venus in the evening twilight sky. The colors in this one, though … wow. Stefano De Rosa – at Isola D’Elba (the island of Elba), off the coast of Italy – captured this image on August 10, 2013. Many thanks, Stefano.
Don’t forget: Peak night for the Perseid meteor shower Sunday night!
