Montauk Point State Park
March 26, 2017
Montauk Point State Park is a quaint New York state park located at the eastern tip of Long Island, about 123 miles (198 km) northeast of New York City. A lighthouse sits at its edge. The park is considered to be one of the best spots for stargazing in New York, as the furthest point from any city lights. Please note that while camping is not permitted here, the park is open to visitors 24 hours of the day with camping allowed very close-by within Montauk County Park.
