Dean Creek Elk Viewing Area

Dean Creek Elk Viewing Area is located near Reedsport, Oregon, along the Umpqua River. Although the area is open 24 hours a day, camping is not allowed. The Bureau of Land Management maintains pastures along Oregon Highway 38 where a herd of Roosevelt elk live year-round. Visitors enjoy both elk and bird watching, plus stargazing at night!
