
Say hi to a hairy pink squat lobster (Lauriea siagiani).
These little creatures are about 1.4 centimeters (half an inch) in length.
They live in sponges (Xestospongia) on coral and rocky reefs in the western Indo-Pacific oceans, at a depth beneath the sea surface of about two to 20 meters (about six to 65 feet).
They feed on zooplankton. Aren’t they cute?
