We received many glorious photos of the last full supermoon of 2025 from our community around the world. See them in the video above and read more about them below.

The full supermoon of December 2025

December 2025’s lunar perigee – the point in the moon’s monthly orbit where it comes closest to Earth – happened early in the day on December 4. Then the moon was about 222,000 miles (357,000 km) from us on Earth, in contrast to the average lunar distance of 240,000 miles (386,000 km). And – just about 12 hours later – the moon reached the crest of its full phase at 23:14 UTC on December 4. So it was a perigean full moon, aka a supermoon. And it was the last supermoon of 2025!
