Vanderbilt Museum is located on Long Island overlooking Northport Bay. Vanderbilt Museum has both mansion tours and museum exhibits, and it’s home to both Vanderbilt Observatory and the Reichert Planetarium. The museum has year-round viewings of the night sky in Centerport on Fridays from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. Planetarium shows are available Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The observatory has both day and nighttime telescopes; check their schedule for events. Viewings are always weather permitting.
