Pinnacle Mountain State Park is located in Pulasky County, Arkansas and lies just northwest of Little Rock (25 minutes from city center). At a size of 2,356 acres (9.5 square km), it features many hiking trails and nearby Maumelle Park is a popular destination for camping (camping is not allowed inside the state park). Its main attraction is Pinnacle mountain, surrounded by Big Maumelle and Little Maumelle rivers. A reader of EarthSky reports that the park “Regularly hosts star parties for the public.”
