EarthSky receives two W3 Awards for web creativity

EarthSky Communications is the winner of two W3 Awards, a competition honoring creative excellence on the web.

Judged by the International Academy of Visual Arts, the W3 Awards recognizes outstanding websites, web advertising, and web video. EarthSky received distinction in the categories of website and web advertising, for its Earth & Sky Community E-Blast.

‘We were incredibly impressed by the quality and creativity of this year’s entries. W3 winners continue to raise the bar in web development and design, push the limits of web advertising, and pioneer the use of web video. We are thrilled to have reviewed such a diverse and respected pool of work,’ said Linda Day, the director of the IAVA.

‘Many people contribute to EarthSky’s website,’ said Ryan Britton, managing director of EarthSky Communications. ‘We want to thank Warren Cardinal and Patra Cardinal of Lucid Crew, plus the whole EarthSky web team – led by editor-in-chief Deborah Byrd, web managing editor Eleanor Imster, and web production manager Neil Roberts – and including especially Shaun Glasson, Beth Lebwohl, Jacqueline Pike and others. Their creative input and outstanding dedication has helped the clear voice of science be heard loud and clear on the internet!’
