EarthSky is a Davey Award winner

EarthSky Communications, Inc., is the winner of two Davey Awards, an international creative award which honors outstanding creative work from small companies.

EarthSky received a gold award for its popular internationally syndicated EarthSky radio series, heard 15 million times daily around the world. The EarthSky website received a silver award and was also honored recently by the W3 Awards.

The 2007 Davey Awards received more than 4,000 entries from small creative firms worldwide. The awards are judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, an organization dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media.

EarthSky’s founder and executive producer, Deborah Byrd, said, ‘EarthSky is one of the longest-running and best-established science radio shows on the air, and our website was one of the first to bring science content to the Internet. In the 21st century, science is sure to be more important than ever before. EarthSky Communications plans to remain a clear voice for science for years to come!’
