Canyonlands National Park
October 8, 2017
Canyonlands National Park is located in southeastern Utah southwest of the town of Moab. It features countless canyons and fantastically formed buttes carved by the Colorado River and the Green River. Split by these rivers, the park is divided into 4 districts, each with its own features, and are popular recreational destinations for hikers, backpackers, mountain bikers and fourwheelers. Ancient Native American rock art, petroglyphs, by The Ancestral Puebloans can be found here. The dark sky and dry air makes for good stargazing.
Note that the address given here points towards the HQ of the parks in the Moab region, in Moab.
