Kawartha Lakes is a small municipality of Ontario, Canada characterized by a chain of 250 small lakes, just 86 miles (139 km) northeast of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. While there are no designated stargazing areas, the lakes are accessible by the public year-round as well as a variety of beautiful communities, each with their own unique charm. You can enjoy a day on the town’s hiking trails, an evening at the theater, or some of Canada’s best locally grown food.
