Jeff Berkes Photography posted this shot to EarthSky Facebook this past weekend. He said it’s one from his recent workshop at North Carolina’s Outer Banks, a 200-mile-long (320 km) string of narrow peninsulas and barrier islands off the coast. Jeff wrote:
The 2016 Outer Banks Night Sky Workshop was all in all a success. We battled the weather both nights. but at times the weather cleared and we were rewarded with some excellent photo opportunities!
