Amazing video shows 30 dolphins rescued from beach

This amazing video shows about 30 dolphins appearing out of nowhere on a beach in Arraial do Cabo, on on the Rio de Janeiro state coastline in Brazil. The dolphins nearly became stranded but were rescued by local people. This was the morning of March 5, 2012, at about 8 a.m. local time. What a great beginning to a new day: about 30 dolphins rescued.

The dolphins had apparently been caught in a strong ocean current, according to one report. Dozens of people watch as the dolphins high-pitched squeals are heard, then quickly race into the surf to help the dolphins. After all the dolphins were rescued, the crowd of dolphin-savers and onlookers broke into cheers.

The video was uploaded to YouTube to Nevermindthegame on March 8, 2012. One commenter said:

It’s cool that the dolphins don’t struggle … like they know they are being helped.

Bottom line: Beachgoers in Brazil rescued about 30 dolphins that were nearly stranded on March 5, 2012.
