We toured this lava tunnel in Iceland that was so porous that in the spring the water drips through and freezes into temporary stalactites and stalagmites. NASA scientists have come here to study the Cyanobacteria that grows inside this tunnel and nowhere else to learn more about the types of life that could live on other volcanic worlds, like Mars.
