21% Mineral Moon from Italy.
The Mineral Moon is a photography technique that consists of capturing images of our satellite with color sensors, and applying a processing technique that allows us to extrapolate a large amount of information.
Just like on Earth, lunar soil components have a unique way of emitting, reflecting or absorbing light. A real “spectral signature” that distinguishes them. Here then are revealed the colors of the young lunar seas made up mostly of basalts (bluish) and anorthosites, which make up a large part of the so-called Highlands (reddish).
