Purple Finches are often confused with House Finches. This regular winter visitor can often be distinguished by the distinct supercilium, especially noticeable in the female Purple Finch.

It was nice to one today while feeder watching here in New Jersey! Eventually, this lady will move northbound and prepare for breeding.
