I've been studying the frequency of rainbows vs halos and my observations have halos as the clear winner. I wonder though if location plays a larger role in this. Winter rainbows aren't common in Alberta, Canada so we were very pleased to come across one on a recent trip to Waterton Lakes National Park. I think it's a first for me—a January rainbow!
