Image Details:

This is an immature adult Chipping Sparrow which I saw while hiking along the Jordan River Trail on Christmas Eve. It was moving about in the baren bushes so I " swished" at it to catch its attention for a few seconds to get the last shot. Not being very familiar with my wife's camera, I failed to turn off the date timestamp function.

The Chipping Sparrow is a slender, fairly long-tailed sparrow with a medium-sized bill that is a bit small for a sparrow. - All About Birds
