Equipment Details:

10" home built reflector using eyepiece projection. Effectively working at an F/40 (10,668 mm). The mosaic compiles images taken from my own back yard over the course of the last 5 months. Each image is a composition of a single 2-3 minute vide0s using a Cannon Rebel T5i working at 25-30 fps at various ISO speeds

Post-processing Details:

The Canon MOV files were first converted to AVI format using PIPP. The best 5% of the frames were stacked using Registat and custom wavelet settings applied . Finally, the images were rotated in Photoshop, with lighting and smart sharpen functions used for final enhancement.

Image Details:

This mosaic compiles images of the 5 outer planets (Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, & Neptune) plus the moon taken from August 8, 2022 to December 4, 2022. All images are taken at the same magnification and provide a unique comparison of each celestial body's size to the moon at the same magnification.
