Punched up the color contrast

I was outside with my dog and looked up to see if the Geminids were still active and saw this. The "arrow" is pointing SSW (South is the top of the image). The SW sky had some clouds near the horizon, otherwise clear. A half hour later, the formation had only moved with the Earth's rotation. The stars in the stem had not moved/the stem had not moved in relation to each other. No bolide report, but dang is that doesn't look like something hit the atmosphere and blew up.
