Crepuscular Rays in Curtains of Rain.
On Monday afternoon there was a fifteen minute interval between 4.41 and 4.56 pm during which late afternoon sunlight projected through gaps between gathering storm clouds generated spectacular fans of crepuscular rays in thin curtains of rain falling beneath them. This culminated in the production of a magnificent corona of crepuscular rays radiating from an almost circular patch of broken sunlit cloud above Hospital Hill.
