I am normally thrilled when I get a close-up bird photo, but this one saddens me so much. I was driving home from one of my favorite photography spots, when I noticed this Female Anhinga on the bank of a water runoff area. I pulled over thinking she might have a fish, but as I zoomed in my heart dropped when I saw what it actually was, trash! She moved away from me as I approached and was finally out of reach. I'm sharing this to bring attention to how important it is to keep trash out of our sewers, lakes, rivers, oceans, ponds and runoff areas.
