Today the clouds rolled away at the afternoon with a Sun only 11° above the western horizon, hardly ideal conditions but not an opportunity to miss anyway. The big sunspot 3141 has grown to about 10 x 2.5 Earth diameters and the bigger component is easily seen with filtered unaided eye.
