Attending one of NY State's premiere Hawkwatches at Franklin Mt. in Oneonta (for the fall migration of many birds & raptors), I was happy to be able to see my first Golden Eagle, along with many other birds & raptors. A very awesome sight was the formation of hundreds of Brant Geese migrating from the Arctic tundra to the mid Atlantic Coast. No other geese nest as far north as the Brant, and few migrate as far.
