Image Details:

M31 The Andromeda Galaxy. The nearest large galaxy to our own Milky Way, our neighbour is 2.5 million light years distant from us on Earth. M31 is the most distant object a human can see with a naked and unaided eye. The regions of pink in the outer spiral rings are star forming regions high in Hydrogen (HII) gases. The image consists of Ha-25 @ 300 secs. RGB L all at 120 secs, R-65, G-60, Blue-65, L-20. My first year doing Astrophotography & first attempt at an RGB-Ha composite, giving a total integration time of ~9hrs. Hope you like my composistion.
