Normal post-processing with adjustments made in contrast, exposure,

It's been a busy week for skywatching. Super clear Fall skies have made observing and photographing the Zodiacal Light, Jupiter, Possible Auroras, Bright Meteors, and the Milky Way a welcomed treat after months of hot, hazy, and smokey weather. I'll post some Zodiacal Light images later on Sunday or Monday.
Two days ago I witnessed and photographed several phenomena in the afternoon sky related to atmospheric optics around the Sun. These phenomena are caused by different shaped ice crystals that make up high-thin cirrus clouds and do not occur all the time.
The headliner on this day was seeing the parhelic circle for the first time. I've been a sky watcher for 45 years and this was a first for me. Maybe I just hadn't noticed or maybe this day was just the right time and place to see such a sight. I used a fisheye lens to show Parhelic Circle
Also visible were sundogs and solar halos. It was a lot to take in for this observer. I hope you enjoy these images.
