Image Details:

I live in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, out of Aurora Borealis range for the most part. It has been a dream of mine to photograph it and on September 3 just before bedtime, I saw online that the chances were going to be good. I set my alarm for 11:30 p.m. and checked some websites. I saw people within an hour drive posting pictures. I woke my husband and said "we have to go NOW!" We drove to a country road a few miles from our home, in between two fields and I set up right on the road. My husband then drove past the farm shown, to light it up for my photo. Tonight I surprised the family that owns this farm with a canvas print. The whole experience, and remembering the experience, has been an absolute joy. I'm hooked!
