This bright stream of STEVE appeared briefly in the western sky while an Aurora display was developing to the north. The image shows Pine Point Beach on the Ottawa River, with light clouds illuminated by the setting moon (left side), STEVE reflecting in the river, and the lime coloured Aurora along the norther horizon (right side). STEVE dissipated over about 5 minutes, while the Aurora became spectacular (in another shot!).
