Runaway Hill Fire, Mutare.
On Friday 19th August a spectacular dry season grass fire in hills to the south of Mutare spread faster than the prevailing wind and consumed everything in its path. No creature downwind of the rapidly spreading bird-shaped burning area in this video frame capture would have been able to escape.
