National Moth Week is an annual event (held the last full week of July) that celebrates biodiversity and citizen science around the world. It aims to record moth populations all over the world and educate about how amazing moths are! (And not just little brown things.)

Pictured is a Rosy Maple Moth (Dryocampa rubicunda) and is the smallest of the silk moths, Saturniidae. As the name implies, its host plant is the Maple Tree. Their flashy colors make them a crowd favorite to see!
