I spent my last evening in Cape Cod on the ocean side and it was amazing watching all the gray seals (which stay year round) swimming by. The setting sun was casting a glow on them! They, along with sharks, have been increasing in numbers. The gray seals can weigh up to 850 lbs. Unfortunately, due to the fact that they they eat all the things that striped bass used to feed on close to the shore, it has hurt the shore fishermen.
