Ghost of the Summer Dawn
When EarthSky publishes Orion's return to the sky, I have been motivated and challenged to capture it.
The last few years, I have tried to see how early in July I can get it's image. This year is my personal best!
Fires and clouds always make it difficult, but so far this year they haven't been as bad as the past few years.
Betelgeuse - Bellatrix and the belt stars Alnitak (Flame Nebula) - Alnilam - Mintaka were captured, but not the sheath.
