Image Details:

Cumulonimbus Clouds reflect Volcanic Sunset Glow.
On Thursday evening a bank of cumulonimbus clouds moved towards Mutare an hour after sunset and produced a spectacular display of reflections of late volcanic sunset glow as it grew in size and developed features (pileus caps, and anvil shapes) normally only associated with thunderstorms during the rainy season! The accompanying extraordinary picture is a 4 second time exposure taken with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 camera mounted on a tripod to obtain a sharp image which brings out the surreal colour and low light detail.
