Unfortunately, the Monarch butterfly was added to the Red list of Threatened Species as endangered, by the International Union for Conservation of Nature. They are being threatened by the destruction of habitat and rising temperatures. Being out a lot, photographing wildlife, I have really noticed less Monarchs flying around, which is really sad. This one was at a pine bush, taken in June.
