Equipment Details:

Sony a7s camera, Rokinon 14 mm lens with e-mount adapter, Triopo Carbon Fiber Tripod, intervalometer.

Image Details:

Class 1 Bortle night sky during the new moon phase. Camera facing roughly due South. The Lyrids meteor shower was ongoing at the time and this image captured a small one just about the Pipestem Nebula. A few during the night were spectacular and bright green streaks across the night sky. But only where I wasn't filming. The Milky Way galaxy rises quite late at night or in the wee hours of the morning if you think of it that way. Viewable starting from about 3 AM to around 5 AM when the dawn approaches. Next new moon will be better and a longer viewing time as June and July are the prime viewing times, IMO.
