Image Details:

A bumblebee and two pairs of mating red milkweed beetles on the milkweed plant. The systematic name of these beetles (Tetraopes tetrophthalmus) means "four eyes". They have the name because the base of their antennae splits each eye in two parts. On this photo, it is seen on the heads of both beetles of the right couple.
