Bear grass appearing for the summer solstice! Intense fires like the Kenow fire in 2017 can kill the rhyzomes lying just under the soil, making it impossible for it to come back. Hugely important for pollinators and a host of wild animals like the grizzly, I did a happy dance in celebration.
