Siemens Sports Park

Siemens Sports Park is located on the southern outskirts of Munich. The area was originally privately owned by Siemens AG, which used the area as a company sports facility for employees. In 2019 it opened to the public and offers a fitness course, running track, bocce ball alley and much more in its forest and green spaces. The urban location still dulls the night sky with light pollution, but the location in the park at least allows observers to keep from having bright lights shining directly into their eyes. An EarthSky visitor says, “In the city, but far from intense lights. Easily accessible via the U-bahn (U3 Aidenbachstr. or Obersendling). Safe, and open all year round.”
