Gile Mountain
August 23, 2020
Gile Mountain is located in Windsor County, Vermont, 7 miles (11 km) from Dartmouth College. The trail to the top of the 1,873-foot summit is rated easy and is 1.4 miles in length. A friend of EarthSky describes the spot: “Quick and easy hike up to a fire tower on top of a mountain that is very accessible to those who can walk. On a clear night, you can see the clouds of the Milky Way with no issue at all.”
