Equipment Details:

WO RedCat 250/51mm, L-Ultimate dual NB filter, ASI533 MC camera, ASIAIR Plus controller, SW AZ-EQ5 mount.

Post-processing Details:

Processed in PixInsight. Drizzle stacked 47 5' exposures, color corrected in SPCC, RC-Astro Noise/Blur/StarXTerminator plugins, GHS, and PS for final exposure and crop

Image Details:

The Crescent Nebula in Cygnus was formed by a heavy metal Wolf-Rayat star blowing off its outer layers with multiple interacting shockwaves. This image was captured in four hours from my backyard under a Brotle 7 skyglow in Austin, Texas. A dual band Ha-O3 3nm filter eliminates the skyglow and most of the shot noise from it that can make urban astrophotography difficult.
