Today, March 12, we witnessed one of the great birding spectacles in the Mid-Atlantic, thousands of Northern Gannets streaming north on their way to the breeding grounds in Canada. The top photo shows the volume of birds streaming by the New York City skyline as they fly through Sandy Hook (NJ) Bay.
