Saw this bird, the Hooded Pita (Scientific Name: Pitta sordida) by chance that look stranded and unable to move. This is an adult bird that a black head with dark brown crown, green body and red vent. It is found from northern Indian subcontinent to southern China and Southeast Asia with some northern populations wintering south to Indochina, the Thai-Malay Peninsula, Sumatra and Java. This is an uncommon migratory bird and I was lucky to have spotted it by chance. I tried to move it to check if it is ok, after a while it flew off to a distance. This species forages on the ground for insects and their larvae, and also eats berries. It breeds between February and August and build their nest on the ground.

I was lucky to have spotted one by chance and it looks so beautiful with the various colours.
