It's Orion season again. Here we have the Flame and Horsehead nebulas, just off Orion's right hip, from my Austin, Texas driveway. Even a dim target like the Horsehead can be imaged with a 2" telescope under Bortle 6+ city lights with a light pollution rejection filter. This area includes emission, dark, and reflection nebulas. It is part of a star forming region called the Orion Molecular Cloud Complex.
