Sebastian Inlet
Sebastian Inlet is located in the Sebastian Inlet State Park in Brevard County and Indian River County, Florida. A popular place for surfing, fishing, strolling along beaches and observing sea turtle nests, the park is open day and night, all days. There are two history museums (treasures and fishing), a campground for RVs and tent campers and a boat ramp. The calmer waters on the Indian River Lagoon are popular among kayakers. Stargazing is best along the Atlantic Ocean beaches, on clear, crisp, cool nights during the winter months. A fellow stargazer says the following: “Stargazing by the beach. Great place to catch the Perseids; lights are out for turtle nesting. Year-round very low light pollution on the beach. Great daytime activities as well.” and “You’ll have a spectacular view of the night sky at Sebastian Inlet. Locals even hold star parties here.”
