November 11, 2017
Cane Creek State Park is a 2,053-acre (8.3 square km) Arkansas state park in Lincoln County. Located where the Gulf Coastal Plain and the Mississippi Delta meet, the park includes Cane Creek Lake which borders Bayou Bartholomew, the world’s longest bayou. With its large trail system, this location is a popular destination for hiking, fishing, camping and kayaking. There are guided walking, biking, kayaking, and birding tours as well as stargazing events and you can rent boats and bicycles on-site.
A reader of Earthsky tells us: “Man-made lake far from city limits. Big skies.”
