Situated just north of the historic city of Cambridge, Cambridge Research Park provides good access and unobstructed views for city dwellers. It is located 5 miles (8 km) north of Cambridge city center. Access to the park is provided by a dedicated roundabout off the A10. An EarthSky reader wrote: “The Cambridge Research Park is home to a few commercial enterprises, and on its western edge is a small nature reserve. As dark skies go, this is by no means the darkest, but for this part of the world it’s not so bad, with an almost totally unobstructed 360 view of the sky and as little light pollution as you could hope for in a populated area. The site has good access by road and the flat level ground makes for an easy time when setting up equipment.”
