Bird-shaped iridescent cloud ‘takes flight’ above setting sunlit cumulus formation at 5.57 pm.
As the late afternoon Sun was setting behind a cumulus cloud formation building up behind Murahwa Mountain a single bright iridescent bird-shaped cloud appeared to take flight from it and then drift for several minutes some distance above. The development of iridescence in just one isolated iridescent pareidolic cloud when the majority of others in the vicinity remain plain is most unusual.
